Halifax Events
ARTport conTEMPORARY The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Halifax Port Authority, will create a large-scale exhibit at Pier 22 this summer during cruise ship season. The exhibit will include work by over 40 artists, most with connections to Nova Scotia or NSCAD University, though there will be a bit of an international flavour.
Metro Square and Round Dance Association Summer Dances Metro Square and Round Dance Association will hold Summer Dances on each Wednesday night from June 1st to August 31st, 7pm to 10pm each night with easy rounds and Mainstream dancing at Cole Harbor Place, Dartmouth. $10 per couple.

The quilt of belonging The Quilt of Belnging is a 120 foot-long tapestry, anational work of art made by cultual groups from across Canada. The project is unique in the extent of its inclusiveness. The rich, cultural legacies portrayed in the 263 blocks include all of Canda's First Peoples and every nation of the world since all are part of the Candian mosaic. Whether the cultural group in Canada is a large one suchas the Chinese or Italian, or tiny, consisting of only one or two individuals like San Marino, Vantu or Kiribati, all are included. Pier 21 is open 9:30 to 5:30 daily.
